2024.2 3. B2B
RW has worked tirelessly to update the NSC to support B2B Magento features and connect them with NetSuite. Most features are already either released or are in production. See our Roadmap for the details (TBD Gregor Pollak add link).
Order synchronisation
One of the most common aspects of B2B is having multiple channels where orders are created, and at the same time, the need to have those orders visible to the customer at any moment. With that in mind, we added the ability to sync NetSuite Sales Orders back to Magento either as an Order Update (if it already exists) or as a New Order. Because of the nature of B2B, there are a lot of different approaches here. This feature is still in development. Until this feature is fully available OOTB, integrating it will require some effort of customization.
Customer synchronization
As part of Order synchronization support, we also support bi-sync of Customers. With B2B needs, customer data can get updated in one or the other system. This way, when a customer calls post-order and asks for an address update (for example), the Sales team can do this in NetSuite, and with the next Order, the data will be correct in both systems!
Company support
As B2B stands for Business-to-Business, Companies are the starting blocks. Our NetSuite Connector supports Company structure export from Magento to NetSuite. It also supports the management of Credit Limit, Company Admin, and Quote access from NetSuite so you don't need to manage them in both systems.
Payment methods
With B2B, the two most common payment methods in Magento are Payment on Account and Purchase Order. OOTB our NetSuite Connector is capable of linking those methods into any Payment in NetSuite. And with correct Payment setup in Order Settings, you can achieve linking Payment on Account to NET-30 Terms in NetSuite. Full support for both Payment methods is tentatively planned on the Roadmap for 2020.1 release in January 2021.
