Taxes are synced with NetSuite inside 2 parent scenarios:

Order Export - 2024.2 Order
Invoice Export - 2024.2 Invoice Export

Both scenarios use the same Taxes Handling Logic that can be set by the Client in Store Admin (see: 2024.1 Taxes (2)). Currently, the NetSuite Connector supports 2 types of Taxes Handling Logic

Magento Line Item (Sends taxes as a separate tax line item)
NetSuite Tax Engine (Doesn't send Tax data, instead NS will calculate them)

Order Export Scenario

During the Order Export scenario, Taxes are sent to NetSuite with the Sales Order Data. If Magento Line Item Logic is chosen, NetSuite Connector calculates the sum of the Magento Order Items taxes and shipping tax. The sum is added as the amount for the additional Sales Order Item (see: RocketWeb/NetSuiteTax/Model/Order/Export/TaxManager/TaxItemLine.php). For cases when the NetSuite Tax Engine Logic is set, NetSuite Connector separately calculates Magento Order Items taxes and shipping tax. They are set as a Sales Order Custom Field value (configured in Store Admin - 2024.1 Taxes (2)). No separate Sales Order Item is set to the Sales Order. Data from the Custom Fields is used in NetSuite to verify that the calculation of taxes in NetSuite is the same as in Magento (due to rounding, they can have minor differences). Invoice Export Scenario

Regarding the Invoice Export Scenario, Taxes are handled in different ways depending on the Handling Logic selected. When NetSuite Tax Engine is chosen, the NetSuite Connector does not provide any actions and simply progresses forward thru the scenario to the next step (see: \RocketWeb\NetSuiteTax\Model\Invoice\Export\TaxManager\NetSuiteTaxProcessor::addTax()). For Magento Line Item Logic some actions must happen. NetSuite Connector gets the Tax Amount from the Magento Invoice. It builds a Cashsale Item with that amount and NetSuiteInternalId from Store Configuration and adds it to the Cahssale.
