General Information

Important Note

This process requires RocketWeb Magneto 2 Quotes NetSuite Bundle to be installed in NetSuite. The bundle creates the required Custom Record (Magento Comments) and other customizations that are needed for the synchronization process to work.

This process is triggered by a Cron Import Process (see: 2024.1 2. Import process). It fetches all NetSuite Quotes that have Is Magento Quote and Quote Processed custom fields set to true (fields are created and changed by bundle mentioned above). This way we secure that Connector imports only Magento Quotes that were processed (commented) by Merchant Admin. For this purpose, we modify search request - \RocketWeb\NetSuiteQuote\Model\Process\Import\QuoteUpdate::getNetsuiteRequest(). After the Connector pulls the quotes from the NetSuite, it validates them by comparing the last_import_date custom attribute of Magento Quote and lastModifiedDate of NetSuite Quote (see: \RocketWeb\NetSuiteQuote\Model\Process\Import\QuoteUpdate::isMagentoImportable())

Update Magento Quote

If the NetSuite Quote was updated after the last import to Magento was done, we update Magento Quote linked with it. Processor updates the next data in Magento Quote:

Expiration Period
Negotiable Price
Status
Last Import Date

The expiration period is set from ExpectedCloseDate attribute of the NetSuite Quote. If this date is older than today (due to some data errors) the Connector will set the Expiration Period to today (\RocketWeb\NetSuiteQuote\Model\Mapper\ToMagento\Quote::getExpirationPeriod()).

Negotiable Price is updated next way:

Connector always sets its type to Discount Amount (only this type is supported by the Connector)
Connector sets discountTotal value from NetSuite Quote to Negotiable Price value
Connector updates Negotiable Total Price to match updated Negotiable Price

The next value updated is Quote Status. The Connector will set it to Submitted by Admin except for cases when Quote is in Process by Customer status. This way Quote becomes available for editing and submitting for Customer.

The last value changed during the Quote Update Import Process is last_import_date. It is set to match $netsuiteQuote→lastModifiedDate. This way Connector will not import the same updates twice.

After mapping is done Connector will save the Magento Quote with updated data - \RocketWeb\NetSuiteQuote\Model\MagentoQuoteRepository::update().

Add Magento Quote Comments

Saving the Magento Quote does not finish the Quote Update Import Process. The Connector proceeds to Quote New Comments import. Quote Comments are imported inside Quote Updates Import Process because they are a part of NetSuite Quote. Quote Comments Import starts from searching all non-customer comments in NetSuite for the Quote ( \RocketWeb\NetSuiteQuote\Model\NetSuiteQuoteRepository::searchQuoteComments() ). All fetched Comments are checked to be present in the Magento. If the Comment is not imported, mapping happens. Connector creates new empty Quote Comment object, set it Comment value, set Creator to Admin User that is configured as Default Sales Representative for Companies (see 2024.1 Company Settings), set netsuite_internal_id and save the new comment (see: \RocketWeb\NetSuiteQuote\Model\Mapper\ToMagento\Quote::createComment() and\RocketWeb\NetSuiteQuote\Model\MagentoQuoteRepository::addComment()).
